Sam Previti and family have scheduled Pasta with Previti This event collects canned food and nonperishable food items for the Samaritan House.
Mark your calendars for Thursday, May 23, 2019. There will be lots of food, entertainment, and fun.
The dinner will be held at the Washington Lions Club on Van Dyke, just north of 26 Mile.
Sam Previti and family have scheduled the 4th Annual Picnic with Previti. This event collects canned food and nonperishable food items for the Samaritan House.
Mark your calendars for Sunday, August 4th, 2019. There will be lots of food, entertainment, and fun.
Sam would like to thank all those who have contributed and sponsored the event in the past and especially the upcoming 2019 sponsors. He also would like to thank all those who have attended and made this annual event a great success. In 2018 there were 400 people who attended.
As some of you know my family adopted a section of 29 Mile between Van Dyke and Campground Road. On Monday, April 22, I will be picking up trash which also happens to be Earth Day. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact me via phone, email, or the contact form found on every page of this website.
Hundreds of families and individuals travel up and down this beautiful stretch on their way to work, picking up kids from school, driving to evening activities, or just running to the store. Thank you to all those who have helped keep this stretch of 29 Mile Road beautiful.
If there is ever anything that you see along this stretch, please let me know and I'll make sure it gets picked up ASAP.
Thank you,
Sam Previti
State Representative Doug Wozniak recently appointed Sebastian Sam Previti as his Director of Constituent Services for Washington Township, Bruce Township, and the Village of Romeo. He will have a Director of Constituent Services for Shelby Township as well. Representative Wozniak took office January 1, 2019.
According to Representative Wozniak the choice for the northern part of the district was an easy one. "Sam Previti is very involved in North Macomb County. He sponsors every charity that seeks any assistance. He donates much of his time, energy, and resources to very worthy organizations such as the Samaritan House. He is involved in his church as Finance Council President. He serves on the Holy Family School Board as Secretary. Sam also is a Washington Township Trustee. Sam is a great communicator, and everyone knows him. Groups and individuals are always contacting him and he has a reputation for bringing the community together.”

State Representative Doug Wozniak & Washington Township Trustee Sam Previti
Sebastian's Background:
Sebastian "Sam" Previti has called Washington Twp home for 16+ years. He and his wife, Silvana, have three young children and they enjoy spending time in and around the township as much as they can. Sam is an active member of several community charities and events including Holy Family Church, Holy Family Regional School, and the Lodge Figli Della Sicilia. He holds a bachelors degree in finance and a masters in business administration, both from Wayne State University. Sam works as a financial controller in Rochester, Michigan. Family and community are both very important to Sam. He credits both his parents, in-laws, and immediate family for teaching him what really matters: Be a good father, a loyal husband, kind neighbor, and help those around you. Sam's experience in finance and community relations will make him a good fit working with the Washington Township Board to get things done for families.
Why I Ran For Township Trustee:
"My wife and I have called Washington Twp home and feel this is the best place to raise our young family. Public service has been a dream of mine ever since I sat in civics class back in high school. I believe people with experience in the private sector, like the rest of the existing board, make for very effective and efficient public servants. Together I believe we will accomplish great things for the families of Washington Township."
What I Plan to Achieve:
"I ran for office on several important issues and I intend to look into all of those. Three issues I plan to achieve are:
I plan to look into increasing sidewalks for the safety of our children and citizens. I would like to know what the cost, feasibility, and overall safety concerns there are in any roads and subdivisions.
I will be a strong advocate against drilling and exploration for oil and natural gas. I feel that despite "x" amount of feet from residential areas, exploration is not beneficial to the health of residents.
Recently our community voted NO on Proposal 1 as a way to repair and maintain our roads. I will work with local, county, state, and federal leaders to bring in as much funding as possible to assist with our roads."

SAVE THE DATE - PICNIC WITH PREVITI - SUPPORT THE SAMARITAN HOUSE - SUNDAY, JULY 31st - FAMILY FUN DAY - BRINGING THE COMMUNITY TOGETHER
I believe that anytime you can bring family, friends, and neighbors together and share a meal, that you truly are a family community. I am inviting the entire township out for food and family fun on July 31st. Please mark your calendars and share this flyer around. The only cost is that I ask you to donate some non-perishable items to the Samaritan House or make a small donation to them.
As a Trustee, I am a strong supporter to bring back positive community events such as Arts and Orchards (although the run is excellent) or recommend other possible community events like a pancake breakfast. I believe we can get local businesses and individuals to help out and any money raised could go to charity. I would promote these events, only if they were not spending tax payer money and if there was some LOCAL charitable contribution involved.
The July 29th event is a community event and I hope you and your family can make it. There will be plenty for the entire family to eat and to be entertained by.
I always believe that no matter how your day has gone, if you can sit down like a family at the end of the day and share a meal, life can't be all that bad. Many of us may have our differences but we are all part of this community and I'm proud to call Washington Township home. '
If you have any questions about my candidacy for trustee, questions about the township, or just want to talk about anything else, please come and talk to me, message me, call me, or text me. I hope many of you can make it out to the Pasta with Previti dinner.
The pasta dinner is for all registered voters in Washington Township and their family. We will be checking people in at the door simply because this is a Washington Township community event.
I hope to see you there!!!
